Awards & Achievements 2024 - 2025

1. Ms Prachi Pradhan, Junior Scientist secured 2nd position in Environment & sustainability session for the presentation of the paper titled “Investigation of the Composition & Sintering Temperature of Industrial Waste Materials Synthesized Ceramic Membranes” at CHEMIX ‘24, VNIT Nagpur on 6-7 April, 2024.

2. Dr Anas N S was appreciated from JOM The Journal of The Minerals, Metals & Materials Society (TMS), Springer for peer-reviewing a Manuscript

3. Best paper award to Prachi P Pradhan on the topic “A Step Towards the Production of Alumina Trihydrate (ATH) Using Non-metallurgical Grade Bauxite Following Soda Sintering Process” for the Bauxite-Alumina session at 12th IBAAS held at BITS Pilani K K Birla Campus, Goa during 25th -27th September 2024.

4. Award to JNARDDC Scientists for presentation at 8th NABL PTP/RMP Conclave for the Indigenisation of Certified reference materials (CRMs) for Wrought aluminium alloys by JNARDDC during 29-30th August 2024 at Mysore, Karnataka.

5. Best Oral Presentation award to R Anil Kumar, Scientist in Non-Ferrous Metal Processing Session for the paper titled “Optimising electrical and mechanical properties of A356 alloys with high Fe and Cr, Mo & V additions” at 78th IIM-ATM 2024 Bengaluru. Nov. 19-22, 2024

6. Best Research scholar award to Ms Prachi P Pradhan, Scientist at the 5th International Conference on Recent trends in biological and chemical science for sustainable future and society, Kawarbandh, Gondia.

7. Certificate of appreciation by BARC, Mumbai for excellent analytical competence of JNARDDC lab in ILCE of alumina

8. 1st position to JNARDDC 4-member cycling team among 22 participants in Asia’s longest prestigious Cycle Race Across India 2.0 sponsored by Indian Oil, from Kashmir to Kanyakumari covering 3758kms. The team completed the race in a record 6 days and 10 hours

9. JNARDDC topped in X-Small organization category in the number of learning hours in Karmayogi Platform and Director, Director, JNARDDC was honoured with a certificate by Dr. Jitendra Singh, Hon’ble Minister of State (MOS) for Personnel, Public Grievances, and Pensions (PP) on 14th Nov 2024

Awards & Achievements 2023 - 24

1. Dr Anupam Agnihotri was awarded the prestigious ISAS - Dr Raja Ramanna Award 2023 and Dr U Singh, HoD (Analytical) from JNARDDC was awarded the ISAS Analytical Scientist for the year 2023.

2. Dr. Paparao Mondi, Scientsit received the best paper award by Indian Society of Analytical Scientists-2024 held at VNIT & JNARDDC, Nagpur

3. Dr Priyanka Nayar Presented a paper entitled "Preparation of 2-Propanol Aluminium Salt (AIP) as an Intermediate for 4N Pure Alumina without Employing a Catalyst" suring 11th IBAAS-JNARDDC held during 4-6 December 2023 at Nagpur and bagged best Presentation award.

4. Dr Anas N S was appreciated as one of the best presenters for his oral presentation at the "Inetrnational Conference on Metallurgical Engineering" organized by IIT-BHU during 26-28th Oct, 2023.

5. Mr Immanuel Kola Raju, Jr Scientist was awarded for the best oral presentation in the MetWaste-2024 3rd International Conference on Management and Recycling of Metallurgical Wastes 11-12 February 2024, IIT(BHU), Varanasi

6. JNARDDC Completed 84 Waste Utilization & Scrap Recycling Drives (Al, Cu, Pb, Zn & Steel) including industry visit and awareness conference in 5 colleges and 22 ZP schools of 11 districts of Vidarbha region.

7. JNARDDC undertook special campaign for cleanliness of all labs and office premises and Park with Nagpur Nagar Parishad. Swachatha Pakhwara was observed in October 2023 with a view to encourage the zeal of the above program. JNARDDC undertook the following activities under SBM
A) Renovation of 2 nos. of Gents & Ladies toilets of Block-1 of JNARDDC office
B) Renovation of D-1 & D-2 Guest House
C) 18 days long SHS campaign with activities covering mass pledge, cleanliness drive in office, roads and adjoining areas, labs, washrooms, a mega Shramdan campaign to clean local wadi Nagar Parishad Rani Laxmibai public park near National Highway NH-6.

JNARDDC secured the 1st position in the Swachata pakhwada Awards 2023 for its exemplary performance adjudged by Ministry of Jal Shakti.

8. Technical Testing & Consultancy work:- A) Third party referee sample analysis of around 30,000 coal samples provided by CIMFR, Dhanbad and QCI, New Delhi and others.
B) Characterization of around 6,500 samples for trace and rare earths element analysis in soil and sediments for GSI Jaipur and other regions
C) Characterization of bauxite, Lime stone, graphite, Pulp (iron ore) and rare earth elements of around 5000 samples for OMECL, Bhubaneshwar.
D) Characterization of around 3,500 iron ore samples under process for M/s Lloyd Metals and Energy Ltd of Surjagarh Iron mine, Gadchiruli, Maharashtra.
E) Characterization of around 4000 miscellaneous and different mineral samples for MECL, Nagpur.
