Shri G. Kishan Reddy, Hon’ble Minister of Coal and Mines distributed project award letters to 11 start ups under the Ministry of Mines S&T PRISM 3.0 scheme at Konark during the 3rd National Mining Ministers' Conference.
JNARDDC is the implementing agency for the start up PRISM scheme. Other dignitaries present were Chief Guest Shri Mohan Charan Majhi, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Odisha, along with Shri Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu, Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister of Telangana, and Shri Vijay Kumar Sinha, Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister and State Mining Minister of Bihar.

Under the S&T PRISM Scheme of the Ministry of Mines, JNARDDC facilitated the evaluation of innovative project proposals from Start-ups, MSMEs and Individual Innovators under PRISM 5.0, with special emphasis on technologies and solutions across the critical minerals value chain. The call, announced on March 1, 2026, covered exploration, mining, extraction, beneficiation and mineral processing, refining and purification, metal/alloy and product development, recycling and waste utilization. A total of 81 proposals were received through the Satyabhama portal. Preliminary scrutiny by the Technical Evaluation Committee (TEC), held online on May 20, 2026, shortlisted 33 proposals for detailed presentation and evaluation.

To foster a competition-based and interactive evaluation process for the critical mineral start-up ecosystem, a two-day workshop was organised at JNARDDC, Nagpur, on May 29–30, 2026. The shortlisted proposals were grouped into thematic clusters covering different segments of the critical minerals value chain. Of the shortlisted proposals evaluated by the TEC, a total of 10 proposals were recommended for consideration by the Project Sanctioning Committee (PSC).
